This afternoon, Cooper and I went to the movies to see the new Disney movie "G-Force" in 3D. We wore the cool glasses.....it was fun seeing the stuff come out of the screen at you. Cooper enjoyed the "pop-porn and drank!". It's a GREAT movie!!

Buffalo Park Birthday Party

Sunday afternoon, Cooper and I celebrated our little cousin Robin's 1st birthday party at the Buffalo Park. Even though we live just a few miles away from the park, this was our very FIRST time to ever go. It was fun!

Guitars

Daddy's a-pickin'....and Cooper's a-grinnin'!!!
Russell bought a guitar and is planning to learn how to play it. So Cooper got out his guitar, and they had a great time playing some music and singing their own made-up song.
Guess Mama needs to get some ear plugs....

St. Simon's Island, Georgia

We spent our July 4th holidays at St. Simon's Island, Georgia....
a L-O-N-G 11 hours away!! But we had a great 5-day vacation, and enjoyed spending fun time with our friend Rachel.

This was our view from our condo balcony on the bay.
This is one view of the Atlantic Ocean...very different from the Gulf of Mexico that we are accustomed to.
The family...
Cooper and Rachel.
We took a ride out in the ocean on a Hobie Cat sailboat. It was fun!! It is like the multi-color sailboats in the background of this pic. I wanted to post this picture to show the THOUSANDS of people that were on the beach on July 4th!! We felt like we were at a "MTV Spring Break" beach!!
The St. Simon's lighthouse at night.
We watched a fireworks display out over the ocean from the village....along with hundreds of other people!!
If you ever want to take a trip to a place that will make you feel like you have traveled "back in time", St. Simon's Island is the place to go. It is a place centered around a village along the Atlantic Ocean, and you will feel like you've gone back a few decades.....people ride bicycles everywhere, travel in golf carts or GEM cars, and it's a very laid back atmosphere. Fun, fun, fun!!
