Strep Throat

No pictures tonight, but just a note that Cooper has Strep Throat (thankfully it's NOT the swine flu like his new little buddy in kindergarten!!). He will miss school today and Tuesday, and hopefully be back in the swing of things Wednesday. The "s-h-o-t" he got today should have him back to his old self in no time.....at least that's what his doc says.

Cooper's 1st Homework

Believe it or not, Cooper had homework during his first week of kindergarten. He was to make a poster called "All About Me!".

(Really it was an assignment for the parents, and the child was to help with gluing, cutting, etc. Boy, was I tired after OUR project!!)

He loved taking it to school and showing all of his new friends.

First Day of Kindergarten

Friday, August 14th, was Cooper's first day of school....kindergarten. Thankfully, we made it through the morning with no tears (from anyone!) and Cooper said he had a great time. We are hoping that Monday morning and every other morning will be as uneventful, and he will have a great year!!

Kindergarten Open House

On Tuesday, Cooper and I went to open house at his kindergarten. He is pretty excited....hopefully it will continue! (Friday is the BIG first day!) He likes his teachers, too.

Daddy's Little Helper

Umi Japanese Steakhouse

Saturday night, we traveled to Starkville to enjoy a night out with family at Umi Japanese Steakhouse. (I know, wrong college town.... but thankfully we survived!!!) We had a group of 9 there, and everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of our chef and the great food. Cooper even got to spend some fun time with his cousins Hannah and Drake (even though he is a little more attached to Hannah....as you can see in the pictures).

After our meal, Cooper and Hannah were just walking down the sidewalk holding hands. Thankfully, they posed for a picture!

I know that I told you that there were 9 of us there, even though the pictures only look like Cooper & Hannah were there. So sorry about that, everybody else!! Our group consisted of me, Russell, Cooper, Granny (my mom), Pop (my step-dad), DeeDee (my stepsister), Erick (DeeDee's husband) and her children Hannah and Drake.
