Official Halloween Picture
This is Cooper's "professional" Halloween picture. Deanna Knight @ STF did a great job....once again!!

Scary Halloween Visitor
Trick-Or-Treating
For Halloween, Cooper was Robin, Russell was Batman, and I was supposed to be Catwoman (I did have a batman mask and said I was "Bat-Mama"). We trick-or-treated through part of our neighborhood, and Cooper had a great time. But he probably enjoyed more sitting at our front door looking for kids coming to our house. He loved to pass out the goodies!

Hospital
After the Halloween Party and Fall Festival, Cooper had to be admitted to the hospital. His anemia had reached the point of needing blood transfusions. After a bad time getting an IV (6 bad sticks), he made the most of it and enjoyed coloring, watching tv, and playing with ALL of his new toys everybody brought him (thanks Granny, Sandra, Mrs. Amy, Mrs. Jennifer, Mrs. Lisa, pediatric nurses, etc). He was admitted Thursday, and we were back home late Friday evening. We are all so thankful to be home!!

Halloween Party
Fall Festival
Cooper's school had their Fall Festival on Thursday. They played a lot of games, played on the blow-up jumpers, and got a lot of goodies.
During the "cookie walk", Cooper was the last kid in the game, but he didn't seem to mind. He just kept walking around the circle until he got his second cookie! He loved it!
Then they went back to their classroom for their Halloween Party!!

Bernard
Cooper saw his Le Bonheur buddy Bernard at Celebration Village Thursday afternoon. Bernard is the "puppet" that talks to kids at Le Bonheur before they have a procedure or surgery, and helps them feel more comfortable with what is happening to them. Nowadays, Bernard travels around Le Bonheur's service area and visits with people as part of Le Bonheur's Community Outreach program. Very soon, he will visit Cooper and his classmates.
Cooper loves Bernard.....and also Bernard's "mommy" Ms. Diana!

Halloween Cupcakes
Cooper and I made Halloween cupcakes to take to school today. We had a fun time making them, and he was so proud of his creations.
The trip to the pumpkin patch was cancelled due to bad weather predictions, so the pumpkin patch was coming to the school.....donated pumpkins for each child, pumpkin craft activities, carving a pumpkin, and Cooper's pumpkin cupcakes. They had a GREAT time!

Bowling Birthday Party
Cooper went bowling for the very first time....at his kindergarten friend Madison's 6th birthday party. He got the hang of it pretty quickly, and enjoyed the party with his new little friends. He even got a spare one time!! Now he wants to go back and bowl with Mama & Daddy!! (And I'm thinking it will be fun to bowl with the gutter-guards up!! Yahoo!!)

Field Trip to the Library and Post Office
Today, Cooper's class went on their first field trip. They walked to the Lee County Library and to the Post Office. This week, they were continuing to study about Community Helpers.
Since this was the first field trip for the class, they were able to wear their kindergarten t-shirts. Cooper was so proud to wear it (as you can see)!
